New York vs. Liberty City side-by-side comparison

Gta4_2
A photographer by the name of Matthew Johnson has taken a series of photos of New York and screen shots from Grand Theft Auto 4 and matched them up for a side-by-side comparison. The level of detail that went into making the city scape is pretty impressive. I don't see the strip club though. That Niko Bellic just can't resist those virtual lapdances. Check out the rest of the side-by-side comparisons after the jump...

LRG x Grand Theft Auto 4

Gta4
I've been playing GTA4 for the past week and I'm still amazed how realistic it is. Not that I have ever robbed anyone, got in a gun fight at a strip club or stolen a cop car, but at least I now know what it feels like. Adding to the reality are the subtle details to the game such as this random guy on the street wearing a hoodie. But that's not just any hoodie...that's one of LRG's more famous hoodies...

Looks like the Madden curse will finally be broken as EA Sports has chosen to go with recently retired Brett Favre to grace the cover of Madden 2009. Ladies be warned, Madden 2009 comes out August 12 so you might not get much attention during that time. To make it easier, here is a list of A Man's Top 5 priorities During Madden Season:

1. Food
2. Madden 2009
3. Food while playing Madden 2009
4. Woman
5. Woman while playing Madden 2009 while eating food.

50 Cent's "Blood On The Sand" video game trailer

As announced last month, 50 Cent is set to release a next-gen video game called "Blood On The Sand" on PS3 and Xbox 360 at the end of this year. This is the new game trailer that was just released. According to gaming site IGN the plot is "an all out battle to protect 50 Cent's assets and to collect payment from a crooked overlord." You can play all members of The G-Unit but I wonder if they are going to digitally remove Young Buck from the game. Via: Nah Right

RZA working on Afro Samurai video game

Rza
Aside from working on his chess game, RZA has also taken a keen interest to scoring music for various movie soundtracks such as Unleashed and Kill Bill. Now RZA will be taking his work to the video game level as he is producing a hip-hop based soundtrack for the upcoming Afro Samurai video game. The game will be out this fall on PS3 and Xbox 360 and like the cartoon, Afro Samurai will be voiced by Samuel L. Jackson. Via: ProHipHop

Wyclef's Burnout Paradise video game music video

Wyclef and EA Games have teamed up together for a pretty cool and unique partnership. In Wyclef's new music video to his next single "Fast Car" he is shown driving a car that is actually taken from video game footage from the racing game Burnout Paradise. This just continues the trend of gaming and hip-hop. This gives me hope to see Busta Rhymes as a Street Fighter character in his next video. WoooHah!!!

Just Blaze and Chuck D featured in "NBA Ballers: Chosen One" Video Game

Super producer Just Blaze and Public Enemy's Chuck D are the sound and voice of the upcoming NBA streetballing video game NBA Ballers: Chosen One. According to the press release "The Just Blaze-produced score for NBA Ballers: Chosen One marks a bold departure from the current norm in sports video game soundtracks. Instead of a random compilation of tracks from various artists, the soundtrack will instead interact with the gameplay, much like a cinematic score, and will be a noticeable change from the typical use of licensed music in games."

While Blaze supplies the music, Chuck D will be supplying the play-by-play commentary and act as studio host. Having both of these artists attached to this video game is a clear sign that Midway, the producer of the game, is going after its direct street ball video game competitor EA's NBA Street. Check out NBA Ballers: Chosen One on X-Box 360 in stores April 29th. Via: Prohiphop
