Yes as in TAG body spray. In a unique venture, JD, Def Jam and TAG have partnered to form TAG Records. According to their press release, Dupri will be the president of the label handling all creative and talent development while "TAG Record's artists will be supported with a multi-million dollar marketing effort that is unprecedented for any new artist, including television, print, radio, digital and event marketing." Jermaine explains the deal in this video...
A real estate agent from the national real estate service Weichert Realtors has been kind enough to gather up all the videos, info and photos of the top eight hip-hop homes currently for sale in the U.S. Take a video guided tour or photo tour of the following homes for sale and if you have a little cash to burn...make sure to holla at an agent to buy one of them. Click on the names to go to their house...
In a recent TV interview Jermaine Dupri talks about his many upcoming business ventures including his cafe, own line of vodka and his plans to open a hotel line called Hotel D. You would think that with all that money, JD could be a bit more original in his entrepreneurial plans considering Jay-Z just announced his plans for his J Hotels. If I was Dupri, I would take advantage of my size and power and perhaps develop a line of toilets designed for little people or maybe a new movie...

Less than a week after Boost Mobile announced their new "Anthem 2.0" marketing campaign featuring Jermaine Dupri and Young Jeezy, the campaign has already kicked off via the web. Here is a look at two banners that Boost is already putting out online. The scary rocker dude that looks like Mystery from that VH1 show "The Pick Up Artist" is Micky Avalon.
*Update: Check out the new Anthem 2.0 commercial here.
Young Jeezy and Jermaine Dupri will be part of Boost Mobile's next "Anthem 2.0" marketing campaign. The pair will be featured in a 3-D animated music video-style commercial along with Mickey Avalon and will highlight "levels" or
"stages" of success all while incorporating Boost Mobile’s latest
pay-as-you-go handset, the Motorola i425.
It does seem a bit ironic that the commercial will be about moving up the success ladder but is promoting a $39.99 phone. Maybe it starts off that they are poor and can only afford the Motorola then move up to the iPhone when they made it big. But I guess that would defeat the purpose of the commercial.

As we announced two months ago, Jermaine Dupri has been busy getting ready for the launch of his new book "Young, Rich and Dangerous" which comes out next Monday. I thought the book would be about Jermaine's personal accounts of living life as a Small Person (I believe that is the correct terminology) but apparently he writes about stuff such as his rise to fame, finding talent (Kris Kross, Bow Wow), and his relationship with Michael..I mean Janet Jackson.
The publisher has recently released an excerpt from his book. It's pretty clear that he had help writing this because...well...you can understand it. It's actually pretty interesting because he talks about Kris Kross...anything about Kris Kross is interesting. To read the excerpt head to the publisher site.
