Tyrese rumored as B.A. Baracus in "A-Team" movie

Tyrese
In a recent interview, Tyrese revealed that he is in talks with director John Singleton to play the role of B.A. Baracus in the upcoming The A-Team movie. This comes as a surprise since Ice Cube was rumored to be the leading candidate for months. However, Tyrese states that B.A. is "going to be a little different. We might keep the Mohawk, but we're not going into no forty thousand chains. We're going to 2009 Mr. BA." The plot is also set in present day which leads me to believe this movie will be very loosely based on The A-Team TV show using only the show name and character names and little background from the actual show. Think Miami Vice the movie on this one.

What you think? Tyrese as B.A. or Ice Cube?

"The A-Team" movie coming June 2009

Cube
The rumors have been going around since last December that John Singleton was in final talks to direct a present-day A-Team move. Now it is finally confirmed as The A-Team is scheduled for a June 12, 2009 release and will be directed by Singleton. Ice Cube has gone on record numerous times that he would love to play BA Baracus, but Singleton has insisted that there is no official casting yet and that all alternatives will be exhausted in making future cast decisions.

What you think?
Is Cube right for the role or is there someone better fit to play the infamous BA Baracus?

The controversial Ice Cube shirt

Ice_cube_shirt
Street wear company FUCT and famed Los Angeles based photographer Shawn Mortensen will release this controversial t-shirt in Japan and Europe on April 15th that depicts Ice Cube reading the controversial Dick Gregory book "Ni$$er: An Autobiography." Mortensen took this now famous photo of Cube in the 90's in their home town of Los Angeles. Mortensen has also photographed other hip-hop heavy weights such as Tupac, B.I.G., Snoop and Dre. What you think?
Considering Nas' recent album title and the t-shirt he wore to the Grammy's, is this Ice Cube shirt making a statement as well or just plain wrong? (Note: racist remarks will be deleted)

Box Office Report: Morgan Freeman barely beats out Ice Cube

Firstsunday
Morgan Freeman's The Bucket List barely beat out Ice Cube's First Sunday in this past weekend's box office movie results. The Bucket List grossed $19.5 million while First Sunday was right behind with $19 million. Both films did better than expected, First Sunday was estimated to only take in about $14 million and as with most urban films, bootleg DVDs were an issue (can you say Soul Plane?)

If you take into account the money lost from piracy, First Sunday should have been in first place. As you can imagine, The Bucket List was not exactly hot enough on the streets to warrant a bootleg DVD. Anyways, these results are very good for Cube and Sony Screen Gems as this movie will gain strong profits in DVD and TV as well and further prove that Ice Cube can carry his own. Next stop for Cube? The Fred Durst directed Comeback.
