Hurricane Chris' new Fila Shoe commercial

As we mentioned at the beginning of the month, Hurricane Chris is the new spokesperson for the Fila Helmsman sneaker. Check out the ad here which is running in various urban/hip-hop magazines now. Reader reaction at Wooohah.com has been pretty fierce calling the Helmsman a Prada sneaker rip-off and Hurricane Chris a joke of an endorsement.

Regardless, now check out the commercial for the Helmsman which of course stars Hurricane Chris and is currently on air. I'm trying to stay unbiased on this...but if you thought the shoes look bad...well...judge for yourself and take a look at the commercial. Fila has signed on Hurricane Chris to help promote the new Fila Helmsman shoe which is already getting dogged in the sneaker community for being a Prada sneaker rip-off. Ads featuring Hurricane Chris and the Fila Helmsan have been circulating in various lifestyle and music magazines this past month along with appearances by Hurricane Chris promoting the sneaker.
