Seattle based Manik Skateboards and famed photographer Craig Wetherby have collaborated for an exclusive line of skateboard decks and tees featuring hip-hop stars such as Method Man, Ghostface and Slick Rick. Each board will retail for $60 and will be available at select boutique shops worldwide in
conjunction with a world gallery tour that starts this month exhibiting Wetherby's
photos and limited edition skate decks. Ghostface previously released one of the illest skate decks in conjunction with his "Big Doe Rehab" album and Zoo York. Via: Prohiphop
Paramount has already hosted early media screenings for this Friday's release of Iron Man and according to those who have seen it and a rep from GFK, the cameo that Ghostface Killah was supposed to make was cut from the final version of the film. Sucks since GFK was clearly excited when director John Favreau asked him to be in the movie but word is Favreau personally called to explain to Ghostface the situation. Oh well. I'm sure we will see him on the DVD and at least he is still on the soundtrack.
Clothing line Zoo York and Def Jam have partnered to bring us the ultra exclusive Ghostface Killah "Big Doe Rehab" skateboard deck (shown Left) and t-shirt. Although the album received critical acclaim (one of my favorites) it failed to make a strong presence in retail...but at least they got cool stuff like this. Unfortunately only 500 decks and t-shirts will be made and will be available only through in-store and online promos from Def Jam, Cornerstone, and Zoo York. Look out for these exclusive items in February.
I know this video commercial has been buzzing around the hip-hop sites for the past couple of days, but I still had to post it just out of pure love for all things Ghostface. Now that the holidays are over, it's time to reward yourself for the countless hours you spent at the mall parking lot looking for parking this past week. Anyways, check out these sweet pics of the Ghostface Killah doll here with some luscious ladies to ease your post-holiday stress.
Even a cameo appearance by the Iron Man himself, Ghostface Killah, couldn't save Dewey Cox (John C. Reilly) and the movie Walk Hard from utter failure. Even with an aggressive TV media, grassroots and online marketing campaign, the Sony film failed to make a dent at the holiday box office and came in at a disappointing $4 million this past Christmas weekend. Considering the movie cost $35 million to make, you can be pretty sure there won't be a sequel to this one.
WoooHah.com has been fortunate to get a look at Ghostface Killah's much talked about book "The World According To Pretty Toney." The hardcover book contains the words of wisdom that only Ghostface Killah's alter-ego Pretty Toney can deliver. It's a quick read and more like a coffee table book...but it is definitely one that EVERY hip-hop head should have displayed at their house and for everyone who wants to keep it hood. Some of the funniest stuff I have ever read.
Chicago street wear boutique Saint Alfred, Island Def Jam and Ghostface Killah have partnered together to offer this exclusive Ghostface Killah shirt in celebration of Ghostface's new album "Big Doe Rehab" due out December 4th. Only forty of these shirts will be made and offered at the official Ghostface release party in Chicago. Better start camping out now to get one of these. (source)
Sanford Greene, current artist for the DC Comic "Wonder Girl" and the artist of MF Doom's "Venemous Villain" cover art is now working on a Wu-Tang Clan graphic novel with the help of Method Man. No details on plot, dates, etc. but considering the current state of Wu-Tang let's hope its not a Ghostface and Raekwon vs. RZA battle. I would much rather see the Wu fighting together on the same side vs. the evil forces of The Taliban, Osama Bin Laden or Kimora Lee Simmons. Check out an early concept drawing of Method Man along with some of Sanford's awesome art after the jump.
One of Ghostface's many personalities is that of Tony Stark AKA Iron Man due to his love for the comic book. John Favreau, director of the upcoming movie Iron Man knew of GFK's passion and landed him a cameo role in the film. Ghostface is in another cameo in the upcoming Walk The Line satire Walk Hard and also further expressed his true passion to MTV which I thought was wearing really big metal plates around his neck...but apparently it's acting.
Introducing the limited edition Ghostface Killah doll complete with a humongous "medallion the size of dinner plates." The medallion is actually real 14 carat gold along with his famous eagle wristband. It also comes with an exclusive mixtape CD of the Wally Champ's hits.
Next to the Chinese Army, the Ghostface Army is the next deadliest force in hand-to-hand combat.
