In case you missed it in theaters or got tired of watching the back of people's heads on your cheap ass bootleg version, the ACTUAL real DVD of Ice Cube's recent comedy flick First Sunday will be available on May 6th. Why am I telling you this almost two months ahead? Because I care. The DVD will also be available in BluRay so you can watch Katt Williams in full hi-def glory. Now if only Toccara were in this movie as well...naked.

"I am Legend" coming to DVD

I_am_legend_dvd_2

Here is the official art for the upcoming DVD of the Will Smith hit I Am Legend. Movie will also be available in a 2-disc special edition, HD-DVD and BluRay which will all contain the alternate theatrical version which is basically the alternate ending.

Spoiler Alert: Proceed at own risk. Ok with that said so the actual alternate ending is as follows: When Robert Neville (Smith), the woman survivor and the child are locked in Neville's lab and being attacked by the infected, instead of Neville blowing himself up with a grenade and saving the woman and child, the lead infected guy actually spares their lives and no one dies. Neville, the woman and child are then shown making their way to the safe house in the mountains. End of story.

I thought the theatrical version was a little Hollywood but this version sounds even more cheesy. The actual real version from the original script (which was never filmed) was that all three of the survivors die and thus...the end of humanity. Anyways, I Am Legend will be available on DVD March 18th.

A look inside the "American Gangster" DVD

American_gangster_dvd_2
WoooHah.com has been fortunate enough to get an inside look at the Collector's Edition of the upcoming American Gangster DVD release which is due out Feb 19th. Here's a quick break down of what to expect:

Unrated and Extended Cut
Both the 2-Disc and the 3-Disc Collector's Editions of the DVD contain the unrated extended cut of the film and the theatrical version. If I'm doing my math right, the unrated extended cut is actually pretty substantial clocking in at an additional 20 minutes. This bring the unrated extended cut to a lengthy run time of 2 hours and 56 minutes of Blue Magic fun. I recommend watching this version over the theatrical...it's the true representation of what Ridley Scott and Frank Lucas wanted.

DMX's Direct-to-DVD "Last Hour"

Last_hour_dvd

DMX is back to the big screen...well the small screen in this Direct-to-DVD Last Hour coming to a store near you on April 15th. Although it's a Direct-to-DVD, Last Hour still maintains a healthy production budget having spent around $9 million to make and hey it's got David Carradine. I'm not sure who "Kobe" is in reference to the box art. It's either Kobe Bryant or Kobe Beef? Anyways, check out the trailer to give you a better idea of the plot after the jump.

"American Gangster" coming to DVD

American_gangster_dvd
Universal Home Video has released the artwork and details for the upcoming American Gangster DVD release. The film will be released in a 2-Disc Unrated Extended Edition with the 20 minutes of additional footage in the new cut of the film, bringing the runtime to 2 hours 56 minutes. Then for those true ballers, there will also be a 3-Disc Collector's Edition that also includes an added bonus disc and a collectible booklet. I think Universal should throw in a bag of Blue Magic as well to make it a real Collector's Edition. No word on release date yet. You can check out all the art for the DVD here.
