Ciara lookin' good in Rocawear print campaign

Ciara has been a model/supporter of Rocawear for a bit now including a cornerstone for the "I Will Not Lose" campaign. I can think of at least five different Rocawear ads she has appeared in the last year or so. Well here is another one. The newest of the "I Will Not Lose" campaign. Enjoy. I know her shoes are not Rocawear but those might come in handy when crossing puddles or low-tide fresh water streams. I have no idea what I'm talking about. Peace.

The official movie poster to Ciara's upcoming film Mama I Want To Sing has now been released compliments of Blackfilm.com. As we mentioned a while back when we first reported on this movie, it also stars Patti LaBelle, Kim Porter (Diddy's babies momma), Ralph Tresvant and Bobby Valentino. Movie is about a preacher's daughter (Ciara) who sings in the church choir before being discovered by a well-established musician. Soon she rises to international fame as a pop singer and must fight between her new found fame and her Godly roots. The poster says it will come to theaters in Spring 2008, but our sources with the production company say it will most likely be October 10, 2008 with a limited theatrical release.

Trailer for Ciara's new movie "Mama I Want To Sing!"

We announced last month that Ciara will be starring in the movie Mama, I Want To Sing! which also stars Patti LaBelle, Ralph Tresvant, Bobby Valentino and even Diddy's old girl Kim Porter. Ne-yo was attached to this film early on but is no longer part of it. Check out the teaser trailer here. Mama, I Want To Sing! is scheduled to release nation-wide in theaters April 11, 2008 just in time for the "10 Days After April Fools Day" season.

Does the trailer look a bit familiar? Two words...well I guess just one word...Dreamgirls...except Dreamgirls looks like the intro to a cheap porno flick while Mama, I Want To Sing! looks like the intro to a Soul Glo commercial. Let your SOUL GLO!

Ciara stars in movie "Mama, I Want to Sing!"

I like Ciara just as much as the next dude but something just isn't right with her outfit here. Those tights make her looks like He-Man with a weave. Alrighty then...well Ciara is jumpin' on the hip-hop/R&B bandwagon and will soon be starring in her first major feature film called Mama, I Want to Sing!

The film is a cross between Dreamgirls and Footloose as Ciara plays Amara Winter, daughter of a preacher who learns singing from her gospel choir. But when Amara gets older, she is tempted by the Apollo Theater and all the temptations of fame and fortune that secular music has to offer. Will she continue to blindly follow her parents and the ways of her church or will she break free, show the world her talents and say "Mama I want to sing!" Find out on March 7, 2008 in a theater near you!

Mama, I Want to Sing! has a pretty good cast so you can expect it to actually hit theaters and not end up as a direct-to-DVD. The cast is like a who's-who of hip-hop/R&B with Kim Porter (yes Diddy's Kim Porter), Ne-Yo, Bobby Valentino, Ralph Tresvant, Patti LaBelle and...the man, the myth, the legend...Billy Zane. With a cast like this you must think I'm joking. I don't joke around...not when Billy Zane is concerned. Don't believe this movie exists?
