This is the first photo of Beyonce on the set of the movie Cadillac Records where she plays the famed 50's singer Etta James. Etta has gone on record saying she fully supports Beyonce in her role...but that's probably because Beyonce is like fifty times hotter than Etta ever was. It would be like Will Smith playing Jermaine Dupri in a movie...of course Jermaine gonna be like..."yea Will is a good lookin' dude like me so I'm down with him to play me." Although most of the recent press regarding Beyonce's film career has been around the upcoming film Cadillac Records where she plays singer Etta James, Beyonce has also just signed on to star in the thriller Obsessed. In a deal similar to Cadillac Records, Beyonce will have executive producer credit in the movie and of course her father will as well. According to The Variety Obsessed also stars Ali Larter and Idris Elba and is about a successful husband (Elba) with a hot wife (Beyonce) who is stalked by his temp assistant at work (Larter). Movie will start production this summer.
WoooHah.com reported awhile back that Beyonce would be starring as 50's Chicago singer Etta James in the upcoming biopic Cadillac Records. Now it turns out she is doing a lot more than acting in this project. Aside from acting, Beyonce will also be executive producing the movie and will be singing four songs on the soundtrack that will be distributed by Columbia Records and Music World Entertainment. Music World is of course Daddy Knowles' company. The only thing Beyonce is not doing in this movie is set design. Or maybe food services...which they will probably leave to Solange.

When I first heard this news I was a little skeptical due to the fact that Etta is...ummm...a fuller bodied woman (no offense but it's true). Anyways, Cadillac Records centers around Leonard Chess, the legendary founder of the 1950's Chicago record label that launched the careers of R&B greats such as Muddy Waters, Etta James and Chuck Berry.
Adrien Brody is set to play Chess, Jeffrey Wright will play Muddy Waters and Cedric the Entertainer will play Willie Dixon, writer for most of the hit songs for Chess' record label. Film is being produced by the relatively new Sony BMG Feature Films division. Filming is set to start in early March in New Jersey, Chicago and Mississippi. Kanye West, Beyonce and D.M.C. have all designed exclusive one-of-a-kind lunch boxes for a charity auction. In the Food Bank for New York City annual 2007 lunchbox auction, celebrities each design a custom lunch box that then is sold on auction to raise money for the food bank. These lunch boxes are considered more as an art platform and less for your kid to fill it up with Lunchables and Doritos. Want to see more of this? She's like a Transformers version of Beyonce that turns into..umm..Beyonce. Well now you can experience this in the comfort of your local movie theater. "The Beyonce Experience" will be shown on 96 2-D digital cinema theater screens nationwide for a one night-only engagement on Nov. 19.
The footage was taken at the Staples Center in Los Angeles and contains Beyonce's full concert performance and includes performances by Jay-Z and the reunion of "Destiny's Child." But on to more important things...that is by far the most elaborate Halloween costume I have ever seen. It would be cooler if her pants opened up like that too. Or maybe not. I bet she bought it using her American Express Card while on her Beyonce-Samsung phone while wearing her House of Dereon jeans while watching her Net Flix commercial while making fun of Solange.
If there was an award for 2007 Most Overexposed Hip-Hop/R&B star it would have to go to Beyonce. She's already in the Emporio Armani Diamonds perfume commercial, the Samsung phone commercial, the American Express commercial...and now a new DirecTV commercial.
The blog site A Hot Mess pretty much sums up this commercial. Beyonce looks like she is the possessed devil child from a horror movie when she starts talking out of no where in the middle of dancing. Viewers beware. It gets creepy.
That would be awesome if this was it. Beyonce In Wonderland. Kinda like what Michael Jackson did with Wiz....on second thought then maybe not a good idea. For those in Hollywood, we all know the impending writers strike is upon us. Studios have been quick to get films into production before the strike...but one noteable singer/actress missing from the production slate? Beyonce.
Did getting overshadowed by Jennifer Hudson in Dreamgirls leave Beyonce with an acting grudge? Word is she is being more careful about her next film project. Currently she has no film development plans on the schedule and the only other potential film she was thinking about, Tipping the Valet, which is basically a female version of Brokeback Mountain, is all but dead. Or maybe it's because she is spending so much time doing all these commercials.

Holy crap! It's not one but two Beyonces! Am I taking crazy pills or something? I feel like I'm living in a Beyonce world and I'm just a Beyonce girl...eh or guy. Any Beyonce fans out there really planning on buying the Beyonce phone? Is having her name etched in the cell phone really necessary? The last time I etched a girl's name in my cell phone...she put a restraining order on me.
