50 Cent to sign $300 million News Corp deal

50_cent_2
Rumor is that 50 Cent has signed a deal with Rupert Murdoch's News. Corp (MySpace, 20th Century Fox, etc) for over $300 million dollars. Deal is said to be similar in nature to Jay-Z's Live Nation deal which calls for partnerships across various platforms. The 50 Cent deal supposedly includes moving G-Unit Records to the new MySpace Records label, a movie production deal and book publishing as well. Nothing will be finalized until next year though when 50's contract with Interscope expires. And no, I don't know where this "50 Cent with accordion" photo came from.

Update: An anonymous person with close ties to 50 and G-Unit tells VIBE this deal is not true. Either way we will all find out in due time. Thanks Eskay for the heads up.

50 Cent on set of "Streets of Blood" movie

50_cent
Latest pic of 50 Cent with the skinny look and grown out hair that we talked about awhile back, on the set of his latest movie Streets of Blood with Val Kilmer. Film is set in New Orleans and is about a cop (Kilmer) who investigates the death of his former partner during Hurricane Katrina. Teaming with new partner 50 Cent, he discovers that the deceased partner was actually murdered in a intricate web of police corruption. Film is set for a 2009 release. Via: Thisis50.com

50 Cent signs memorabilia deal

50_cent
50 Cent has signed a deal with sports memorabilia company Steiner Sports, the same memorabilia company that represents athletes like Derek Jeter in the sale of authenticated autographed memorabilia. Deal calls for Steiner to sell 50 Cent autographed photos, movie-related products and concert-worn apparel and to expand the 50 Cent "brand" to outlets such as Sky Mall magazine, Neiman Marcus and more. Terms of the deal were not disclosed but my educated guess is that 50 will receive "a large amount of money." Via:  NahRight

50 Cent's "Blood On The Sand" video game trailer

As announced last month, 50 Cent is set to release a next-gen video game called "Blood On The Sand" on PS3 and Xbox 360 at the end of this year. This is the new game trailer that was just released. According to gaming site IGN the plot is "an all out battle to protect 50 Cent's assets and to collect payment from a crooked overlord." You can play all members of The G-Unit but I wonder if they are going to digitally remove Young Buck from the game. Via: Nah Right

50 Cent's new movie renamed "Streets of Blood"

50
50 Cent's next movie, where he plays a New Orleans cop aside Val Kilmer, has officially been renamed Streets of Blood. Film also stars Sharon Stone and Brian Presley. This is the same movie that 50 has been losing weight for and growing out an afro (see Vitamin Water entry). Movie was previously called Microwave Park and begins filming next month. Full plot line after the jump...

50 Cent & Carrie Underwood in Vitamin Water ad

In a recent interview with MTV News, 50 Cent said he is losing weight and shedding bulk to to have "a more regular physique" for his upcoming movie Microwave Park. He's also growing out an afro for the role. That explains his slimmed down look and hair-do in this new "behind the scenes" of 50 Cent and Carrie Underwood filming a Vitamin Water ad. It's basically 2 minutes of watching 50 Cent cry as he tries to get into Carrie Underwood's under..wood? Via: Nahright

50 Cent goes to the moon in new Vitamin Water ad

50_cent_vitamin_water_3
50 Cent (middle) looks awfully small when he is standing next to Adrian Peterson, Brian Urlacher, Dwight Howard and David Ortiz. This is a recent photo taken from the set of 50's next Vitamin Water commercial. Considering 50 is part owner of Vitamin Water I'm surprised he didn't surround himself with smaller guys...like Tyrus Edney or Earl Boykins. Via: ThisIs50

50 Cent & Val Kilmer star in "Microwave Park"

50_cent
As Val Kilmer announced last month, he will be partnering up with 50 Cent in his next movie, taking the place of Robert DeNiro in the long awaited New Orleans crime thriller Microwave Park. Film has been in various stages of development for the past three years but is now finally coming together. 50 Cent will play a New Orleans cop with his partner as Val Kilmer. Considering recent events, it's good this isn't the long awaited G-Unit movie (that will now never come out) and Young Buck isn't playing 50's partner...

50 Cent introduces new Pontiac G8 Sport Truck

50centpontiac
50 Cent made an appearance at the New York International Auto Show yesterday to introduce the new Pontiac G8 Sport Truck and fulfill his partnership with Pontiac (General Motors) to promote the new Pontiac line at various events. Apparently 50's guest appearance caused such a commotion at the Auto Show that people were actually leaving the BMW and Benz booths to head over to Pontiac. I believe BMW should counteract and bring Jessica Alba tomorrow...naked. Via: Nah Right
