Dave Chappelle's next "Block Party" in Dubai?

Our friends at Slash Film have informed us that Dave Chappelle might be back in a "sequel" to the 2006 movie Block Party. While the first filmed concert/event took place in Brooklyn, ?uestlove of The Roots recently spoke out that Dave might be planning for a sequel in Dubai of all places...

“I saw Dave the night of Erykah [Badu]’s birthday party in Dallas,” said ?uestlove. “[It would happen] Over in Dubai. …Except he wants to spice it up a bit and have us perform with a 60-piece orchestra." Imagine the security entrourages that the hip-hop artists will be bringing if thy go to Dubai. Rappers gotta be careful when wearing them chains in foreign countries. Watch out 50 Cent don't want your chain snatched again!

Although Dubai is much more capitalistic in its goals as a country, that's still a region that has laws to imprison or kill people who don't conform. I don't think that's the smartest move for Chapelle.

Sup Modi - I wasn't trying to compare Dubai to Africa. Just saying in general it's not a smart move to be flashing so much jewerly on your neck w/o some form of protection.
