Alicia Keys movie production projects in works

Alicia Keys is everywhere. Just last week she was in a nationally televised staring contest with President Clinton. And even though Alicia is fully ramping up for her new album as well, she still has time to work on her film projects out of her production company Big Pita, Little Pita. It was reported last year that Disney was on board to distribute a remake on the 1958 film Bell, Book and Candle which would star Keys as a modern day witch who plans to cast a love spell on the guy she likes but then...UH OH...she accidentally casts the spell on herself and she falls even deeper in love. Film is still in its very early stages with no director or writer attached yet. Seems like a boring chick flick. I prefer Keys in her other role as Georgia Sykes, the hot leather clad assassin in Smokin' Aces.
In her other project called Catfish, Keys plays a strong-willed black woman who stands up to a powerful corporation whose greed devastates her small Mississippi hometown. She spearheads the biggest strike in U.S. history. This is based on a true story. So it's basically like a black woman's version of North Country. Snnnnooooooooozeeee fest. I prefer Keys in her other role as Georgia Sykes, the hot leather clad assassin in Smokin' Aces...wait...did I already say that? Here is hoping for a Smokin' Aces 2: The Return of Georgia!
