Mariah Carey's next movie "Tennessee" almost done

Isn't Photoshop a wonderful thing? This photo is great. Anyways, it was announced a couple of months back that Mariah was going to be in a new movie...no not Glitter 2. Mariah's next film, Tennessee, has finished filming and is now in the post-production/editing stages. Damon Dash, as part of his Dash Films venture is an Executive Producer.

In the film, Mariah plays a interracial waitress who sets off with two brothers to find their estranged father. Their goal: Get dad involved in saving their younger brother, who has leukemia. This is pretty much a straight drama so it will be interesting to see if Mariah can act beyond playing herself or just crazy.

Currently no major studio is attached although it is scheduled to release next year. The official website is up but no trailer yet. Here is hoping for a bath tub scene that will bring us back to her famed "MTV Cribs" days.
